封面故事：新疆阔克吉勒嘎超大型金矿床。近年来, 新疆地质局喀什地质大队依托新疆维吾尔自治区财政出资项目在西昆仑西段开展金矿地质调查, 首次发现上百千米长、数千米宽的产于韧-脆性构造带的金矿化, 探获阔克吉勒嘎超大型金矿床, 取得金矿重大找矿突破。初步研究认为阔克吉勒嘎金矿是与韧-脆性剪切带有关的构造蚀变岩型金矿床, 西昆仑克成矿带阿克陶一带金资源潜力可达世界级规模, 找矿潜力巨大, 其发现可为区域同类型金矿的寻找提供重要借鉴, 对新疆西昆仑金腰带的构建具有重要意义。详见本期1033-1038页。(照片提供: 何福保)
Cover Story：Kuokejilega Super-large gold deposit of Xin-jiang. In recent years, supported by projects financed by the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the Kashi Geological Team of the Xinjiang Bureau of Geology have conducted gold geological surveys in the western segment of the West Kunlun Mountains. This work led to the first discovery of gold miner-alization within a ductile-brittle structural zone, extending hundreds of kilo-meters in length and several kilometers in width. Representing a major breakthrough in gold exploration, the Kuokejilega su-per-large gold deposit was also identified. The gold resource potential in the Akto area of the West Kunlun metallogenic belt is esti-mated to have tremendous prospecting poten-tial. Its discovery provides an important mod-el for exploring similar types of gold deposits in the region and holds significance for estab-lishing a gold belt in the West Kunlun of Xinjiang.
