| Perspective of Rubidium and Caesium Resource Demand in China |
| Rubidium and cesium are indispensable key mineral resources for the development of new technologies and are relatively abundant in the world. China has a relatively short supply of cesium resources, which require adherence to safety regulations. Simultaneously, it is necessary to predict the future demand for these resources, which is a difficult problem to solve. In this paper, the demand for rubidium and cesium in China was studied based on research and industry chain analysis. A database of rubidium and cesium was constructed in which an attempted prediction of the demand was made and the input-output method was tested. From this, we concluded that the domestic consumption of rubidium and cesium has entered a period of rapid growth. Our study revealed that the demand for cesium and rubidium in 2025 would be 1000–1100 tons and 10 tons, respectively, thus greatly expanding the market size in our country. |
