Analysis of Thermal Storage Characteristics of the Guide Zhacang Geothermal Field in Gonghe Basin Based on Logging Data
      This study investigated the development of compound high temperature geothermal resources in Zhacang Area, China. Temperature measurement of 3000 m fractured thermal storage in Well ZR1 is 151.34 ℃, and temperature measurement of 4600 m dry hot rock reservoir in Well ZR2 is 214 ℃, showing serviceable geothermal resources potential in Gonghe Basin. Our approach was intented to elucidate potentially serviceable geothermal resources in the Gonghe Basin. Key parameters such as porosity, bulk density, rock heat generation rate, rock mechanics, and ground stress of Zhacanggou granite thermal storage were evaluated. Our results showed that the temperature logging of 4092.8 m was at 180 ℃ and that of 4602 m was at 214 ℃ in Well ZR2. The electrical imaging logging was used to identify two fracture concentrated development zones, which were 4210–4220 m and 4310–4320 m. The occurrence of cracks throughout this section was analyzed statistically. Additionally, using borehole wall caving and the three-bore method, the maximum principal stress direction of the borehole was calculated to be nearly north-south. A total of 21.4 m for 2 lithologic fractured strata (suspected water cut), 70.4 m for 7 lithologic complete strata, 376.1 m for 27 lithologic complete strata, and 7.6 m for 2 highly radioactive strata ware interpreted. Overall, our results show the potential of the geothermal reservoir as an energy source and pave the way for its utilization.
