A Study of High Temperature Geothermal Anomaly and Deep Thermal Structure around Bohai Bay
      The high temperature geothermal anomaly area around Bohai Bay is an important geothermal resource area in North China. The study of shallow high-temperature geothermal anomaly and deep high-temperature geothermal structure in Bohai Bay is an important basis to solve the bottleneck of high-temperature geothermal exploration and development in eastern China, and has important practical significance for accelerating the construction of modern energy system in eastern China. Using the latest lithospheric velocity model of the Chinese mainland USTClitho2.0 and aeromagnetic data, we calculated the shallow and deep high-temperature thermal structure around the Bohai Bay. The results show that the average depth of Curie in this area is 20.8 km and the Curie temperature is 420 ℃. The high temperature thermal structure of the middle and upper crust is closely related to the undulating shape of the interior. The heat generation rate of the upper crust in this area decreases with the increased depth, which reflects the vertical differentiation characteristics of upward migration of radioactive heat generating elements. Moho temperature is between 600 and 800 ℃ in this area, and the depth of lithospheric bottom is between 66.3 and 97.5 km, with an average of 76.8 km. According to the velocity structures of USTClitho2.0, we modified the previous crustal stratification structure and upper crustal heat generation rate, and calculated the crust mantle heat flow ratio of all 91 terrestrial heat flow points in the study area. The results show that there is a“hot-crust” type thermal structure around the Bohai Bay. It was previously thought that this area is a “cold crust” type thermal structure. Our calculation results correct the previous understanding, and provide an important basis for the exploration and exploitation of high-temperature geothermal resources in the upper crust of this area.
