The Implications of REE Characteristics for Gold Sources of the Shanggong Gold Deposit in Xionger Mountain |
The mineralized samples of the Shanggong gold deposit have more similar REE characteristics to those of Xionger Group andesite and Yanshanian granite, and their provenances are more closely related to each other. The ΣREE value in different ore types is quite different, and the ΣREE value decreases with the increase of mineralization. Most of the samples of gold ore and lead-zinc (silver-gold) ore show weak Eu and Ce anomalies, in which δEugold ore(0.84)>δEuLead zinc ore (0.75), δCegold ore (0.88)>δCeLead zinc (0.96); the reason for this phenomenon may be that the hydrothermal metasomatism or the ore-forming hydrothermal fluid was Cl– rich reducing fluid. According to the diagram of (Sm/Eu)chondrite (Sm/Eu)samples-(Sm/Eu)samples, all kinds of samples from the Shanggong gold deposit can approximately be integrated into a related straight line. It is indicated that magmatic hydrothermal fluid provided the initial heat source and material source for mineralization, while contact metasomatism of andesite and gneiss probably provided partial material source for mineralization. There are positive anomalies of Tb and Tm elements in both ore samples and altered rock samples, indicating that the source of ore-forming materials might have been affected by crustal rocks. The diagram of δEu-Au correlation in the Shanggong gold orefield shows that, with the enrichment of Au elements, Eu elements are relatively enriched. |
