A Study of Phyllite Weathering Index of Silurian Maoxian Group along the Mianzhu–Maoxian Section of Chengdu–Lanzhou Railway
      In this paper, based on the metamorphic phyllite of Mianzhu-Maoxian section along Chengdu–Lanzhou Railway and using electron microprobe analysis, electron microscope analysis, rock geochemical analysis and other experimental methods, the authors analyzed geochemical characteristics, microstructure characteristics and original rock characteristics. At the same time, the authors analyzed and compared the chemical compositions of weathered phyllite samples and fresh samples in this area. Using SPSS.22 software, the authors conducted correlation analysis of the main elements, obtained the control elements in the weathering process, then fitted the discriminant equations, and compared them with the weathering indexes obtained by previous researchers. It is concluded that the newly generated discriminant is more applicable to the weathering phyllite in this area.
