Research and Application of Reservoir Prediction Method to Neogene Thin Sand-shale Interbed in Wensu Uplift, Tarim Basin, Xinjiang
      In view of the characteristics of Neogene sandstone reservoir in Wensu uplift area of Tarim Basin, such as thin thickness, small thickness of single sand body and fast facies change of sand body, the authors studied the relationship between sandstone reservoir, seismic attributes and logging curves, and predicted Neogene reservoir by using geostatistical inversion method based on gamma pseudo-sonic curve. The prediction results were compared with conventional wave impedance inversion and geostatistical inversion based on acoustic logging curves. The results show that the vertical resolution of the prediction results is greatly improved and the thin sand body can be identified effectively. The prediction result effectively supports the well location optimization, as verified by new drilling, thus realizing the breakthrough of oil and gas investigation in this area.
