| Geological Characteristics and Ore-prospecting Orientations of the Xiaochangyuan Phosphorus Deposit in Luquqn County, Yunnan Province |
| The Luquan-Dongchuan phosphorite deposit is an important phosphrrus ore resource base area; nevertheless, geological research is very insufficient, and the exploitation and utilization extent of the mine remains at a relatively low level. Based on detailed investigation, this paper describes systematically geological characteristics of the ore district and ore deposit and, through the correlation of the phosphorus-bearing beds with neighboring ore districts as well as an analysis of chemical and mineral compositions and ore bed structures, makes a tentative discussion on the ore-forming environment and the genesis of the ore deposit and indicates the ore-prospecting orientations. The results are of practical guiding significance in search for similar phrsphorus deposits in the pe-riphery of the ore district as well as in the whole region. |
