Lithogeochemical Anomaly Characteristics and Ore-Search Targeting of the Gaerqiong Gold-Copper Ore District in Ge’gyai County, Tibet
      The Gaerqiong ore district has three mineralization types, i.e., Cu-Mo mineralization produced in the porphyry ore deposit, Cu-Au mineralization produced in the skarn, and Cu-Au mineralization produced in the structural fracture zone. These three mineralization types all belong to the porphyry mineralization system. The results of lithogeochemical measurement shows the existence of three main anomalies, R-1, R-2 and R-3, in the ore district. Distribution characteristics of elements in three anomalous areas are on the whole similar to each other. There is element zonation of Cu-Mo-Se-Te–(Bi)-Pb-Zn–As-Sb-Tl distributed from the abnormal concentration center outwards in the R-1 anomaly area, the metallogeny of element association and distribution is characterized by the evolution from high temperature to middle or low temperature, similar to things of the porphyry mineralization system, and hence this area has potential in search for porphyry ore deposits. The weak anomaly of such peripheral elements as Te, Se, Sb, Pb and Zn and strong anomaly of Cu and Mo in R-2 anomaly area show R-2 anomaly area has been severely denuded. R-3 anomaly area is a porphyry-type mineralization area related to quartz diorite and granodiorite, in which skarn mineralization and structural fracture zone have the best potential in search for ore deposits, and porphyry-type mineralization in the depth also has prospect for ore exploration.
