| The Idea of Cover Design and Characteristics of “Cover Story” of Acta Geoscientica Sinica |
| The cover of a journal makes the first impression on readers, and hence it is very important to improve the quality of an academic sci-tech periodical and establish its brand image. Cover design should follow the principles of norm, professionalism, stability and artistry. This paper gives an account of the history of cover design of Acta Geoscientica Sinica and discusses the idea of its cover design: following the principals of cover design, enhancing the individuality expression, highlighting the distinctive features of the brand, seeking variations in stability, incorporating Chinese cultural elements and, what is more, displaying the characteristics of the “cover story” of Acta Geoscientica Sinica. |
