| The Division of Groundwater Function Zones in Quanzhou |
| This paper focused on the distribution of groundwater resources in coastal areas, and filtrated the evaluating indexes of groundwater functions from driving, state and response factors according to the nationwide technical outline for the division of groundwater function zones. These indexes were combined with the groundwater resource function, ecological function and geological environment function. Based on the hydro-geological unit, the authors divided the groundwater function zone into development zone, protection zone and reserve zone. The groundwater level was the dominant factor under consideration in order to prevent groundwater pollution and seawater intrusion. A major concern in the ecological groundwater level and threshold level producing geological disasters was to define the groundwater management level in Quanzhou, and then the function zone was segmented by the corresponding administrative boundaries of the city. Based on the basic unit of the groundwater function, the authors put forward red, yellow and blue subareas for regional groundwater management. This study provides the guidance of practical significance for preventing groundwater pollution and seawater intrusion as well as the rational use of groundwater resources in Quanzhou. |
