| Excursion Guide to the Localities and Biostratigraphy of Mid to Late Mesozoic Pterosaurs from Western Liaoning, Northeastern China |
| Thousands of exceptionally well preserved fossil animals and plants have been recovered from the Middle Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous lacustrine deposits of western Liaoning Province and adjacent regions in the past twenty years. These fossils include more than 20 groups (Zhou et al., 2003; Chang et al., 2003), among which the flower-associated insects, lissamphibians, pterosaurs, feathered theropods, birds, early mammals, and angiosperms have attracted paleontologists’ attention worldwide. |
