| Middle Jurassic Pterosaur and Feathered Dinosaur Bearing-Strata at Linglongta, Jianchang County, Western Liaoning |
| Although Zheng et al. (2009), and Xu et al. (2009) reported feathered dinosaurs at Linglongta and Yaolugou, Jianchang, Western Liaoning in early 2009, their interpretations of the strata in which the speci-mens were found (as Early Cretaceous by Zheng et al. (2009), and uncertain Jurassic-Cretaceous by Xu et al. (2009)) are questionable. Recently, three new verte-brates (Anchiornis huxleyi (Hu et al., 2009), Darwi nopterus modularis (Lü et al., 2009) and Fen-ghuangopterus lii (Lü et al., 2010)), have been re-ported from Linglongta (Fig.1C). |
