| Land Intensive Use of Coal Cities at Different Development Stages |
| Although much research work has been devoted to the urban land intensive use, researches on the land intensive use in coal cities, especially at different development stages, remain insufficient. With coal cities at different development stages as the study objects, this paper has divided these cities into aged, middle-aged and infant types. For example, Hegang and Datong are of the first type, Shuangyashan and Yangquan are of the second type, and Qitaihe and Shuozhou are of the third type. Assessment indexes were chosen from the peculiarities of coal cities, which included economic investment, human investment, resources investment, economic output, social output, environment output and land use structure. AHP method was used to get the weights of different factors and to calculate the degree of land intensive use in different coal cities. The results from the influential factors were analyzed, and difference in land intensive use was obtained. Some suggestions are put forward concerning the improvement of the degree of land intensive use, which are helpful to the land intensive use in coal cities and the transformation of city functions. |
