Discussion on the Groundwater Depth of the Optimal Groundwater System Vulnerability in Hufu Plain
      The statistical analysis method was used to analyze the relationship between the aquifer sensitivity and the groundwater vulnerability with groundwater depth in Hufu plain. The result demonstrates that the vulnerability of groundwater resources increases and the aquifer sensitivity becomes stronger with the increasing groundwater depth. Based on an analysis of the relationship between the aquifer sensitivity and the groundwater vulnerability, the authors consider that the depth of groundwater is the key factor affecting groundwater resource vulnerability as well as aquifer sensitivity, and there exists a water table range of the optimal groundwater system vulnerability. The range is different in different areas. The water table range of the optimal groundwater vulnerability for fresh water and for saline water is defined at 27~30 m and 15~19 m respectively.
