Geological and Geochemical Characteristics and Formation Environment of the Wenquangou Olivine Basalt in Liaoning Province
      Wenquangou olivine basalt in Fengcheng of Liaoning Province is a kind of host rock in the Wenquangou ludwigite deposit and has many characteristics of rifting volcanic rock: ① the rock is in zonal distribution concordant with Early Proterozoic volcanic sedimentary rock, and has vesicular and amygdaloidal structures; ② the major elements indicate that the rock is rich in Fe and Mg, with relatively high B, Cl, F, Rb, Cs, Th, U and comparatively low V ,Cr, Ni. HFSE and related ratios are similar to those of common basic rocks. The relationships between Ti, Zr, Cr and Y show that the rock is somewhat a kind of intraplate basalt. The fractionation of LREE from HREE is obvious, negative Eu anomaly is invisible, and the REE pattern makes up a right oblique line, suggesting that the magma has experienced obvious fractionation; ③ a comparison of ΣREE between magnesian host rocks of borate deposits in Liaoning Province reveals that they have the same horizon and are all rich in magnesium, indicating that their rock-forming tectonic background is a rifting tectonic setting.
