On the Significance of Chinese Scientific Thinking for Future Geology
      Modern geology originated from the West and,with it's development,has gradually become an important member of the western science.It has contributed much to the progress of human society and modernization of industries.However,the future geology shall face two difficult problems related to ecological imbalance and natural resource crisis all over the world.In order to solve such variant and complex assignments,geologists should change their traditional thinking and applied methods,and try to consider the introduction of the Chinese thinking of scientific methods,which are characterized by emphasizing mutual relationship,and also integral,organic,dynamic and dialectic properties of investigated objects.Professor Li Si-guang made a great contribution in combining the western scientific culture with the Chinese traditional culture,thus pointing out the right direction of geo-scientific development in future.The authors believe that Chinese geologists will make creative contributions to future geology in this aspect.
