Basic Characteristics of the Damxung-Yangbajain Active Tectonic Zone in Tibet and Its Influence on the Safety of the Qing-Zang Railway
      The Qing-Zang Railway crosses the Qinghai-Tibet plateau,in which there are many active tectonic belts.With frozen earth and varied active faults,it is very cold and has very complex mechanic geological conditions.In this paper,the author analyzed the basic characteristics of the Damxung-Yangbajain active tectonic zone and discusses the probable geological hazards.The Qing-Zang Railway is a great achievement in engineering and construction,but it should experience all sorts of geological trials during its long operation.
