Characteristics of Early Permian Magmatic Rocks and Their Impact on Hydrocarbon Accumulation in Tarim Basin
      There was an intense volcanic activity in the rift basin of Tarim Basin in Early Permian. It consisted of eruption of basalt as well as medium-acidic tuff and massive intrusion of basic dike. The K_Ar isotopic age of the basalt is 241~278 Ma, and the Sm_Nd isotopic age of the gabbro is 259 Ma. The energy of the volcanic activity caused the Cambrian_Ordovician source rocks to produce plentiful oil and gas and forced them to migrate. The data of the K_Ar isotopic age of the authigenic illite show that the filling time of oil and gas in the Carboniferous reservoir of Hade 4 oil field and Tazhong 4 oil field is 224~275 Ma, identical with the time of volcanic activity. Donghe sandstone, as a high_grade deeply_buried reservoir, is responsible for the phenomenon that the filling of oil and gas at the end of Permian caused only mechanical compact but no other diagenetic activities in late deep burial process.
