Accurate Locating and Dating for Division of Climate Periods since the Last Deglaciation Stage
      The high resolution 230Th dating and C O isotope analysis performed again by the authors for D4 stalagmite samples from Dongge cave in Libo, Guizhou Province,show an average resolution of 18 a for the part produced since 16 ka. The study indicates that the oxygen isotope reords, besides reflecting the variation of the monsoon intensity, can better reveal the abrupt change of climate during H1, BA and YD as well as 9100 a ,8200 a and 4600 a in Holocene. The carbon isotope records and sedimentation rates are most likely to reflect the humidity of climate. In conclusion, the correct division of climate periods and accurate location and dating of the mutation event obtained from stalagmite records provide a basic scale of reliable time series for the studies of other glodal change records.
