The Application of Lead Isotopes to Geochemical Exploration in the Daping Gold Deposit, Yunnan Province
      A new method for lead isotopic exploration intersecting the mineralization zones was applied to the exploration and evaluation in the Daping gold deposit, Yuanyang, Yunnan Province. The analytical results of the ores and adjacent rocks from the veinscrossing sections at different altitudes show that there are almost no anomalies in the deposit. The prognostic results show that the exposed orebody in the Daping gold deposit is located in the middle-lower part of the major orebody. It is suggested that the lateral exploration surrounding the known deposit should be extended. The comparable lead isotope data between the ores and the diorites indicate that gold mineralization is likely to be controlled by the diorites.
