| A Method for Re-Os Dating of Copper-Nickel Sulfide Ores and Examples of Its Application |
| A method for Re-Os dating of copper-nickel sulfide ores and its application in the Huangshandong Cu-Ni deposit in Xinjiang and the Jinchuan Cu-Ni deposit in Cransu are presented in this paper. The technique of Carius tube was used to dissolve the samples. Rhenium was separated by cation exchange after acetone extraction and osmium by distillation. The results of the application show that ICP-MS can be used for Re-Os dating of copper-nickel sulfide ores with satisfactory results obtained. |
