Bacterial Denitrification:A New Method for Nitrogen Isotopic Analysis of Nitrate in Groundwater
      Bacterial denitrification is a new method for nitrogen isotopic analysis of nitrate in groundwater. Its process includes selection and cultivation of denitrifying bacteria strains, complete conversion of sample nitrate to nitrous oxide by denitrifying bacteria, extraction and purification of nitrous oxide, and isotopic analysis of nitrous oxide. Compared with the combustion method, the bacterial denitrification method can analyze nitrogen isotope of nitrate in trace amounts of water samples with lower concentration, and is hence more rapid, convenient and reliable.
