Queries on the Conversion between surface Water and Groundwater within the Heihe River Drainage
      The total volume of springs within Zhangye, Gaotai and Linze along the Heihe River amounts to (10-13)×108m3/a.Such huge water resources play a most important role in the ecological environment and life quality of Zhangye area. In recent years, the volume of springs keeps steady in general. The recharge of springs was traditionally considered to be the conversin process bet-ween surface runoffs of the Heihe River and groundwater. However, and analysis of series of isotopic data has led the authors to raise some queries on this traditional conversion model.
