Primary Study on High-precision Measurement of Magnesium Isotopes Using MC-ICP-MS
      A method for Mg isotope measurements using MC-ICPMS has been established. Using "sample-standard" bracketing technique, we tried to analyze magnesium isotopes by MC-ICP-MS on high-precision for SRM980, Aldrich, Romil and GSB materials. We discussed concentration effect and matrix effect on Mg measurement, aim to decrease interferences as possible. Relative to SRM980, we got: Aldrich (2.64±0.15)‰ (2σ) for δ26Mg and (1.34±0.09)‰ (2σ) for δ25Mg; Romil (2.46±0.15) ‰ (2σ) for δ26Mg and (1.27±0.08)‰ (2σ) for δ25Mg;Laboratory standard GSB (Laboratory of Isotope Geology, MLG) (4.05±0.03)‰ (2σ) for δ26Mg and (2.05±0.03)‰ (2σ) for δ25Mg.
