| The Design and Implementation of Geophysical Data Visualization Controls for Chinese 3D Lithosphere Structure Database |
| China 3D lithosphere structure database and other research cases involve a large quantity of data visualization problems. Data visualization controls can be reused to the full extent. 2D data visualization controls are developed with Visual Basic, using Windows APIs to enhance their graphic capability. The development includes planning and realizing in such aspects of the controls as the displaying interfaces, properties, events and methods. For various geophysical controls, some properties related to the data, the data transferring methods and the graphic drawing procedures are different, whereas other aspects of the controls are the same. It is thus concluded that the designing approach and most of the codes may be reused in the development of various controls. |
