| Gravity and Magnetic Characteristics and Tectonic Divisions of the Yanshan Area |
| It is held that Yanshan area can be divided into four different parts according to gravity and magnetic features. They are from north to south ① area north of Fengning-Longhua faulted zone, ②area between Fengning-Longhua faulted zone and Miyun-Banbishan-Chengde-Pingquan district, ③ area between Miyun-Banbishan-Chengde-Pingquan district and Sanhe-Changli district, and ④area south of Sanhe-Changli district. The Fengning-Longhua faulted zone is the southern boundary of the Inner Mongolia geological axis. The three density drastically-changing zones (Fengning-Longhua, Miyun-Banbishan, and Sanhe-Changli) may extend deeply into the middle crust, and the Chengde-Pingquan zone may be somewhat shallower than the above three zones. |
