The Rock-forming and Ore-forming Age of the Furong Orefield, Hunan Province
      The Furong Sn-polymetallic ore deposit is located in southern Qitianling,south Hunan Province. The ore potential of magmatites is rather promising, generally higher than the average potential of the same type of magmatites in the world. The REE cha-racteristics of various granite bodies are similar,and the distribution of REE in the magmatites displays the increasing depletion of δEu from middle-coarse grained granite through fine-grained biotitite granite to fine-grained granite subjected to autometasomatism. The distribution of REE between the cassiterite-bearing massive magnetite ore and the cassiterite-arsenopyrite sulfide ore shows the same feature,suggesting that the ores and the magmatite bodies might have resulted from cogenetic igneous evolution. The isochron studies prove that the rock-forming time is early Yanshanian,and the comprehensive information shows that the ore-forming process is most intimately related to the fine-grained granite.
