Structural Characteristics Related to Hydrocarbon Migration and Accumulation in the Kenli Fault Zone, Bohai Gulf
      Faults constitute an important factor in petroliferous basins and control oil gas distribution. Based on a study of characteristics of Kenli faulted zone, this paper deals with faults controlled oil gas migration and accumulation in this area. It is concluded that hydrocarbon migration and accumulation in the Kenli faulted zone follow two main models:① Vertical migration and accumulation along the faults: the migration of early oil gas from Gunan depression occurred along Kenli faulted zone mainly in the form of continous phase. When large quantities of hydrocarbon were generated from the Fulin depression, Kenli fault had stopped activity, and hence hydrocarbon could not but migrate together with periodic Es 3 overpressure fluid along the Kenli fault in the form of dispersed and free phase. ② Migration and accumulation through the faults: considerable oil gas migration and accumulation across the faults mainly occurred in the deep and shallow parts of Kenli faulted zone and Kendong No. 6 fault. Finally, this paper has summed up four oil gas accumulation models, i.e., accumulation in the same layer, accumulation in buried hills, accumulation through faults and accumulation along faults.
