| Serial K-Ar Dating along the Volcanic Section in Zuoyun,Shanxi Province |
| The Zuoyun volcanic rocks located on the boundary between Inner Mongolia and Shanxi Province has an area of over 1 500 km 2,but had no isotopic age record in the past. A serial K-Ar dating was made by the authors along the volcanic rock section in this area. The age at the top of the section is 15.13±0.08 Ma,and that at the bottom is 23.90±0.33 Ma.According to the dating results in combination with the petrographic researches, it is held that the volcanic rocks in Zouyun area belong to the Miocene “General Hannuoba basalt”. |
