| Present Condition and Prospects of Researches on Fine-grained Turbidite Systems |
| The identification of thin-bedded fine-grained turbidite reservoirs has come true with the improvement of the exploration technology. Internationally, there have been increasing interests in this aspect, and much progress has been made in the last several years. Nevertheless, exploration of hydrocarbon in deep-water turbidite deposits has not yet been started in China.This paper describes the history of tubidite researches, and analyses its depositional features, formation processes, facies models, reservoir values and some recognition techniques. Some existing problems and future research aspects are also pointed out. |
