The Methods for Quantitative Prediction and Evaluation of Structural Fissures in Reservoirs
      More than half of oil gas gross output in the world comes from the fractural oil gas pools, which will constitute one of the most important oil-gas producing fields in the 21st century. Nevertheless, the complexity of fractural reservoirs in petroliferous basins has hindered the development of petroleum industry.Viewed from the research situation both in China and abroad, the quantitative prediction of spatial distribution of compact and fractural reservoirs, the quantitative depiction of reservoir fracture parameters and the quantitative evaluation of such reservoirs remain the forefront problems in petroleum geology which require further deepgoing investigation. This paper summarizes the research situation,major progress and methods of quantitative prediction and evaluation of the natural fracture system of reservoirs. At the same time,some examples are given for illustrating the role of quantitative prediction of reservoir tectonic fractures in the exploration of oil gas resources.It is hoped that such work will enlighten petroleum researchers on this subject.
