| The Relationship between Palaeotopography and Reservoir Prediction in Sequence Stratigraphic Research |
| According to high resolution sequence stratigraphy, changes in base level and cycles can affect the development of depositional system. The distribution and style of depositional system are controlled by the changes of base level. It should be pointed out that the palaeotopography exerts a great effect on the accommodation space affected by base level changes, and plays a special controlling part in sediment volume partitioning and facies differentiation. In this paper, the significance of palaeotopography determination is discussed. It can be concluded that the research on palaeotopography can play a leading role in reservoir prediction. |
