The Division of Geological Hazards along the Coastal Land Area of Guangdong Province
      On the basis of data on geological hazards (earthquake, rockfall, landslide, mud flow, ground subsidence, surface collapse, base sinking, ground cracking, soil erosion and mud accumulation in port, etc.) collected from field investigation and literature, the coastal land area of Guangdong Province has been divided into 9 geological hazard regions consisting of 32 subregions by means of comprehensive analysis and two new indicators ("hazard density" and "hazard intensity"). With the database and GIS, the "Distribution and Division Map of Geological Hazards along the Coastal Land Area of Guangdong Province" has been compiled by the authors, which can be used as basic data for academic analysis of geological hazards and economic development in the area. The results of division may indicate the relationships of geological hazards, geoenvironment and human activity.
