| An Analysis of the Hydrological Cycle Characteristics in Interior Basins of Northwest China |
| Water resources and environmental problems resulting from water utilization are major problems that have to be faced in the development of west China. Therefore, the understanding of the hydrological process is a critical problem for reasonable utilization of water resources. The present paper first discusses the transformation among the meteoric water, surface water, groundwater and ecological water, and then, through systematic analysis, reveals the characteristics of hydrological cycle and the formation and evolution of water resources in interior basins of Northwest China. Finally, on the basis of the above discussion, the general principle is put forward for reasonable development of water resources and protection of ecological environment. |
