Petrochemistry and Ore Potentiality of the Mafic-Ultramafic Rocks in the Yangliuping Cu-Ni-PGF Mine, Sichuan Province
      The banded mafic-ultramafic rocks in the Yangliuping Cu-Ni-PGE mine, Sichuan Province, can be divided into two types, viz., mafic rocks and ultramafic rocks. The ultramafic rocks have been altered strongly and mineralized, showing similar petrochemical features to komatiite. These altered ultramafic rocks have high content of H 2O + and CO 2, and the higher the content of H 2O + and CO 2, the stronger the mineralization, suggesting that the mineralization of Cu-Ni-PEG is related to hydrothermal alteration. The mafic rocks are geologically and chemically similar to the Permian E'meishan continental flood basalts and have experienced no mineralization, with normal content of ore-forming elements.
