| Turbidites of Palaeogene Shahejie Formation in Western Huimin Basin of Shengli Oilfield, Shandong Province |
| Huimin basin is one of the Cenozoic rift basins around Bohai Gulf. Lower Tertiary sediments are well developed in its western part. A variety of turbidity fans or turbidities existent together with deep lake mudstones and oil shales are well developed within the upper or middle part of the 3rd Member of Shahejie Formation related to the evolutionary history of syndepositional deltas. The turbidity sandbodies within Shahejie Formation have great oil-gas potential. This paper studies the distribution, features and evolutionary histroy of turbidity in 3rd Member of Shahejie Formation in western Huimin basin. |
