The Ordovician Microflora in Yunxi,Hubei |
A microflora with about 500 individuals including 18 genera and 34 species was collected from the Ordovician section of Kazi to Chenjiazhuang,Sanguandong,Yunxi County,Hubei. Pirea opertura is a new species,and its character is as follows: Pirea Vavrdova,1972 Pirea colliformis (Burmann)Vavrdova,1977 Pirea apertura Sun sp.nov. (PI.II,fig.7) Holotype: PI.II,fig.7,No.YNP 3V 133 Description: Vesicle pear_shaped in outline.55μm in length and 30~35μm in width.There is a process in tip,process 8μm in width at basal part,4μm in length.Surface of vesicle and process ornamented with little spines with 0.5~1μm in length,slight expansion in close tip.Excystment with a pylome in basal part of vesicle. Comparison: The species differs from other species known of the genera in that there is excystment with a pylome in basal part of vesicle. Occurrence: Ordovician Shuitianhe Formation of Yunxi County,Hubei. |
