Study of Oreforming Fluid for the Wangfeng Gold Deposit of Xinjiang and Its Genetic Implication |
The Wangfeng gold deposit,Xinjiang Autonomous region, ranked as a medium one,was located in a ductile shearing zone within the Central Tianshan crystalline basement.Studies on wall rock alteration and fluid inclusions show that the oreforming process includes three stages which are marked by the mineral assemblages of quartz_pyrite,polymetallic sulfides, and quartz_carbonate respectively.Their mineralizing temperatures are concentrated at the ranges of 360~520℃,240~360℃,and 120~240℃ respectively. The middle stage contributed most to the mineralization. With the value of δ 18 O‰ ranging 1.15~2.70,the ore_forming fluids is most likely to be hybrid fluid by metamorphic solution and meteoric solution. Chemical composition of fluid inclusions shows that the ore_forming fluid was derived from a shallow level source and was beneficial for gold mineralization. The ratio of CO 2/H 2O is usually larger than 0.026, which is also favorable for gold mineralization. The calculated crapping pressure of inclusions demonstrates that the mineralization should occur at the depth of 5.6~1.2 km, mainly at about 1.9 km. The oreforming process concedes with the crustal extension elevation, consequently agrees with the mineralization during collisional orogenesis. Hence, the collision orogenesis at the end of Paleozoic result in the formation the Wangfeng gold deposit; and more gold deposits like Wangfeng maybe found along the Bingdaban fault belt. Infrared spectroscopic analysis of quartz shows that the densities of absorption spectra for CO 2 ( D 2) and the ratios of D 2 over the densities for H 2O ( D 1) ( D 2/ D 1) are generally high, which suggests the mineralization should have been strong. D 2>0.55 and D 2/ D 10.26 are indicators to gold enriched samples. |
