Basis for the Use of Nitrogen Isotopes to Identify Nitrogen Contamination of Groundwater
      Shallow groundwater is the nitrogen reservoir (converge) at continent. In north China, nitrate concentrations (mg N/l) and δ 15 N values (%, air) of groundwater are as follows: 4.4 and ≤+5 (in the raw), 20-70 and +10-+20 (from sewer leakage), 30-60 and -2-+5 (from chemical fertilizer). So, nitrogen isotopes can be used to distinguish among different poliution sources and nitrogen transformations.
