| The Late Carboniferous Rugose Corals from Shihuigou on the North Margin of the Qaidam Basin |
| The late Carboniferous rugose corals described in this paper were collected from the Shihuigou area on the northmargin of the Qaidam hasin. They contain 26 genuses,and 49 species and subspecies (including l7 new species and 4subspecies,and may be divided into five coral assemblage zones. They belong to the Keluke Formation of early LateCarboniferous and the Zhabusagaxu Formation of late Late Carboniferous. In this area, the Late Carboniferous coral fauna is different from that in South China,but it is related to the East Europe an coral fauna and especially simisar to the bonets basin coral fauna. |
