Sr-Nd ISOTOPE GEOCHEMISTRY OF CENOZOIC BASALTS FROM ANHUI,JIANGSU AND SHANDONG PROVINCES
      Among the Cenozoic continental basalts distributed widely in eastern China,the basalts fromAnhui,Jiangsu and Shandong provinces are important occurences.The basalts in the area beloning tonorm alkaline series,are composed of nephelinolite,basanite,olivine alkaline basalt,olivine basalt andolivine tholeiitic basalt in terms of CIPW norm compositions and total alkali-silica diagram.Sr-Nd isotopic compositions of 34 samples,within the ranges of 4.5 +6.9(ε ̄°CHUR(Nd))and 20.4 +33.1(ε ̄°UR(Sr)),of Cenozoic continental basalts from Anhui,Jiangsu and ShandongProvinces are similar to that for oceanic island basalts.The Luhe-Yizheng basalts in Jiangsu Provinceand most of Penglai,Qixia and Lingqu basalts in Shandong Province show the characteristics ofPREMA type mantle component in oceanic basalts isotopic system.The Jiashan=Lai an basalts in AnhuiProvince show the characteristics of EMⅠtype mantle component.The former might be derived fromthe asthenospheric mantle or deeper part and the latter might be derived from the heterogeneouslithospheric mantle.The general feature of isotope geochemisny for the continental basalts from thearea in study are determined by the interaction between the melts from the different parts of mantle,lithospheric and asthenospheric or deeper mantle in the case.
