| RESEARCH ON SPESSARTITE OF THE VOLCANIC ROCKS IN DIANFANG DISTRICT, HENAN |
| Garnet has been found in the volcanic rocks of the Middle Proterozoic Xionger Group in the Dianfang gold mine district. It occurs single crystals sporadically disseminated in the parent rocks or in the cracks or on the joint planes of andesite. The study of its modal characteristics indicates that it belongs to the spessartite series and is related to hydrothermal alteration and gold mineralization. It is inferred that it was formed under a temperature of 550-400℃ and a pressure of 100-300 MPa and at a depth of 0-3km. |
