THE 2-D CRUSTAL STRUCTURE STUDY IN THE YADONG-DAMXUNG REGION OF THE XIZANG PLATEAU
      In the paper, under the demand of the important project "the GGT from Yadong to Golmud" sponsoredby the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources and Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, we have made some detailed studies of the 2-D crustal structure of the belt from Yadang to Domxung based on the DSS obtained by the Geophysical Institute of Academia Sinica in 1977. Besides the results in the thesis[ 1],two intersecting seismic sections in the region from Nam lake to Yamzho lake, whose results have not been published, were first studied, and the shallow crustal structure was analyzed with Pg phase. In the study area, the crust has a thinkness of 70 km or so, gradually decreasing from angmar to its south, in which exist two love velocity layers. The result also shows that there are three faults in this region:one is exists near Kangmar and it is a structural demarcation line between the south and the north Himalayas and the other two are the Yarlung Zangbo River fault and the Damxung fault. In addition, P wave was used to calculate Q values, and the study was conducted taking into account the crustal structure and velocity distribution in the region and in combination with the Damxung earthquake region as well as the Yanbajing geothermal field.
