THE PALEOGEOGRAPHIC OUTLINE AND DEPOSITIONAL CHARACTERS OF THE EARLY STAGES OF EARLY PERMIAN IN NEI MONGGOL (INNER MONGOLIA) -JILIN SUBREGION
Based on the presentation here of the depositional characters and the paleontologic assemblage of the early stage of Early Permian in the Nei Monggol-Jilin subregion. A new concept concerning the paleongeographic outline and the paleotectonic in the east part of the Tianshan-Hinggan (Khing'an) region is proposed and the related sea area and possible passage of the sea water is discussed.4 main points are put forword as following:1. The fauna of this subregion, intermingled with only a few Arctic cold water type, mainly belongs to the Tethys warm water type.2. During the early stage of Early Permian the northeast end of Sino-Korean Old Land was connected with! the Wusuli-Xingkai Massif through Yanbian regipn. Therefore, the question of the absence deposition of the early stage of Early Permian in Yanbian region is answered.3. The paleontologic assemblage of the Nei Monggol-Jilin subregion is different from that of the Beishan-Nei Monggol-Hinggan subregion. Parafusulina, Misellina and so on are found mainly in the former subregion, and Spiriferella, Yakovlevia etc. in the latter. This difference indicated that between the two subregions the presence of Bureya-Wandashan Massif and submersed high land of the Xar Moron River should be a truth.4. Passing through the southwest part of Japan and the southeast part of the Sikhota-Alin, U. S. S. R. the sea water of Tethys went forward to the north, along the east side of Bureya-Wandashan Massif, entered into China at the northeast part of Heilongjiang near the region of Haiqing.then ran westerly from east to the Nei Monggol-Jilin subregion. The orther branch, namely the sea water of the Arctic region that went through the East Arctic Ocean to the Far East region of U. S. S. R. and then passed along the west side of Bureya-Wandashan Massif (it may be more westerly, that contains the region of Songliao) ,went forward to the south, and came into the Nei Monggol-Jilin subregion.
