| THE MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE CHINESEFRENCH COOPERATIVE PROJECT OF THE GEOLOGY |
| <正> The second symposium on the Himalayan geology was held during May 10--12,1982 in Guilin, Guangxi. Li Tingdong, YeLianjun and other 26 Chinese scientists Participated in this meeting. Among the 13Franch Parsicipants there were A. Aubert,the Franch delegation and C J. Allegre. Xiao Xuchang and other 13 Chinese resear chers and 11 Franch scientists including C. J.Allegre read their paper with free discussionsamong the perticipants. The exchange of information and opinions has provided a good basis for explaination of the tectonic features of the Himalayas, the strutures of the crust and the upper mantle, as well as the origin and evolution of the Qinghai-Xizang plateau. |
