| LATE UPPER CAMBRAIN TRILOBITE FAUNA FROM WESTER YUNNAN |
| This paper deals with the Late Upper Cambrian trilobite fauna from Western Yunnan, in-cluding the description of 9 fimilies, 16 genera and 19 species, among which 4 genera and 10species are new. Saukiidae and Kaolishaniidae are the two predominant families. This fauna be-longs to the North China fauna Type, having affinity with that of Northeastern China, NorthChina, the Yunnan--Vietnam Border, Western Queensland and Tailand. For the time being twoassemblages may be established. The lower: Kaolishania-Kaolishaniella assemblage, which may correspond to the Kaolishania zone of the Changshanian stage and the Conaspis zone of the Franconian stage in North America; the upper: "Calvinella"-Lonchopygella-Quadraticephalus assemblage, which may be equivalent to the upper part of the Fengshanian stage, the Payntonian stage of Australia and the Trempealeauan stage of North American. |
