| Development and Management of Geopark |

| Abstract:Geoheritage is the most important natural heritage for tracing the past evolutionary history of the earth, understanding the present natural environment condition and predicting the harmonious future between the hu-man-being and the nature. The protection of the geoheritage is therefore our sacred obligation, and the establish-ment of geoparks is the best choice to reach this goal. Many countries in Eurasian, Australian and American con-tinents are rapidly following Chinese and European footsteps to set up their national geoparks and apply for GGN membership. Now people from various parts of the world have gradually been sharing the same knowledge that the fast growth of geoparks seems to become an irreplaceable way for the harmonious coexistence of the human being and the nature for the coordinating development of the society. |
