中文摘要:二叠系是广东省的主要产煤地层。阳春地区的上二叠统为阳春组,下二叠统有童子岩组、花园组和栖霞组。童子岩组含煤层;花园组产菊石化石。本文所记述的菊石化石共有4属6种,即Para-gastriocerasirwinense(Teichert),P.cf.artolobatumRuzhencev,Daubichitescf.shouchangensis(Chao),D.yangchunensisSheng(sp.nov),Crimitescf.krotowi(Karpinsky),ProstacheocerasguangenseSheng(sp.nov.).这在广东尚属首次发现,其时代为早二叠世晚期,相当我国南方早二叠世茅口期早期。本文为在我国南方寻找新的煤田及国内外二叠系的划分和对比提供了新的线索。

A Ammonoid Faunule of the Early Permian fromYangchun Area , GuangdongSheng
Abstract:The main coal-bearing strata in Guangdong Province is from the Permian. The Uppor Permian inthe Yangchun area is called the Yangchun Formation, while the Lower Permian is divided into theTongziyan Formation , Huayuan Formation and Qixia Formation , the former two yielding coal bedsand ammonoid fossils respectively.In this paper 6 ammonoid species belonging to 4 genera are described. They are Paragastriocerasirwinense (Teichert), P. cf. artolobatum Ruzhencev, Daubichites cf.shouchangensis (Chao) , D.yangchunensis Sheng (sp. nov.) , Crimites cf. krotowi (Karpinsky) and Prostacheoceras guangdogenseSheng (sp. nov. ). Their horizon in chronology belongs to the upper part of the Lower Permian,namely the early period of theMaokou Stage in South China.This paper has provided new clues not only for the search of new coal mines in South China , butalso for the classification and correlation of the Permian at home and abroad.Description of the New SpeciesFamily Paragastrioceratidae Ruzhencev , 1951Genus DaubichitesPopow , 1963(Holotype Daubichites orientalisPopow , 1963 )Daubichites yangchunensis Sheng (sp. nov. )(Pl. I Fig. 2; Text-fig. 4)This form is erected based on a well preserved speciman. Shell rather large (D=57. 6mm, W=23. 2mm , H=22. gmm , U= 19. 8mm , U/D= 0. 34 , W/D= 0. 40 , W/H= 1. 01 ) , subinvolute, andthick discoidal with arched venter and broadly rounded ventro-lateral part. The lateral sides gentlyconvex with the greatest thickness at the umbilical ridge. Body chamber rather long about a completevolution of the last whorl. Whorls higher than wide in the early stage and less wide than high near themouth-border. Whorls embraced at the umbilical ridge of the preceding volution and indented by it toone-forth of the height. The whorl-section half oval or arched in outline. The surface marked withumbilical nodes in the inner volutions and numerous fine , relatively distinct longitudinal striations onthe ventro-lateral Part. The growth line begins at the umbilical joints, curving slightly backward onthe lateral flanks and projecting obliquely forward on the ventro-lateral portion with distinctly ventralcurve.The suture-line rastriopoid. The ventral lobe wide and basin-shaped. The lateral lobe slightlyasymmetric, inverted bell-like and narrower than the ventral lobe. Umdilical lobe wide and shallow,base at the middle part of the umbilical wall. Outer saddle wide and high. The lateral saddle low andasymmetric, wide arch shaped. The inner suture unknown.Remarks This species closely resembles Daubichites hunggermiaoensis(Chu) of Inner Mongolia andD.roadense (Bcose) of Texasand Coahuila. It differs from those forms in the possession of more faint-ly longitudinal striations only on the ventro-lateral portion.Horizon and Locality Late Early Permian Huaxian Formation of Yangchun , Guangdong. Cat.No. P3077 (Holotype).Family Vidrioceratidae Plummer et Scott , 1937Genus Prostacheoceras Ruzhencev , 1937(Holotype Marathonites juresanensis Maximova , 1935)Prostacheoceras guangdongense Sheng (sp. nov. )(PI I , Fig. l: Text-fig. 6)This form is represented by a single perfect speciman. Shell rather large (D= 71. gmm , W= 38.8mm , H= 37. 5mm , U= 11. smm , U/D= 0. 16 , W/D= 0. 54 , W/H= 1. 03) ' involute, subgloloboseor thick discoidal with narrow arched venter. Whorls completely embracing and deeply indented , andthe inner volution about haif of its whorl height. The whorl section' hoof-shaped in outline with broadround ventro-lateral parts out, wide and slightly convex lateral flanks. Whorls slightly wider thanhigh, and its maximum thickness at the shoulder edges. The body chamber about one volution long.The umbilicus narrow and deep, bordered by umbilical rounded rims and more steep, slightly convexwalls. The surface of the test nearly smooth. There are 5 wide and shallow ribbon-like constrictionscommencing from the umbilical edges , which become forward convex on the lateral sides , with a wideand shallow curve on the venter.Suture-line ceratitic.
