封面故事:湖南衡山岩体西缘界牌拆离断裂带的野外变形特征和韧性剪切作用显微组构特征。通过研究该拆离断层的结构和运动学特征,确认其经历了从深部韧性变形向浅部脆性变形的过程,获得转变期锆石U-Pb年龄为137 Ma,限定了其从缩短构造体向伸展体制的转化时代以及白垩纪红层盆地底界年代,为华南中生代陆内造山演化提供了重要依据。这项由中国地质科学院董树文研究员和地质力学研究所张岳桥研究员主持的研究成果,当选2011年度中国地质科学院十大科技进展第二名。详见本期第257-279页。
Cover Story:Field deformation characteristics of detachment faulted zone and microfabric features of ductile shearing in Jiepai on the western margin of the Hengshan Mountain, Hunan Province. Based on a through study of the structure and kinematic characteristics of the detachment faults on the west-ern side of the Hengshan metamorphic core complex, the researchers have confirmed the fact that the detachment faulted zone experienced the evolution from deep ductile deformation to shallow brittle deformation. U-Pb age of zircon from mylonitized albitite in the detachment zone is dated at 137 Ma, the epoch of the transform of Late Mesozoic in South China from a shortened tectonic body to an extension system is restricted, and the age of the lower limit of the Cretaceous red bed basin is con-strained. All these results provide important evi-dence for the evolution of Mesozoic intracontinental orogenic movement. The research achievement directed by Professor DONG Shu-wen of CAGS and Professor ZHANG Yue-qiao of Institute of Geome-chanics, CAGS, ranks the second among “Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progresses of CAGS in 2011”.
